ASHLAND COUNTY — Be sure to grab your raincoat before heading out the door Wednesday morning.

As has been the trend over the past few weeks, wet weather is again a possibility throughout the day Wednesday around Ashland County.

According to the National Weather Service, folks can expect mostly cloudy skies in the morning, with peeks of sun possible in the afternoon. There is a chance of showers, with thunderstorms likely — mainly in the morning.

Highs may reach the lower 80s, with a 70-percent chance of rain.

Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the NWS. Lows will be in the lower 60s, with wind blowing southwest at 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. The chance of rain is 50 percent.

A hazardous weather outlook — issued by NWS around 3 p.m. Tuesday — said a few storms may be strong to severe on Wednesday afternoon and evening, with damaging wind gusts being the “main threat.”

Large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out Wednesday, according to NWS.

“Repeated rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall may result in localized flooding Wednesday into Thursday,” the hazardous weather outlook stated.
