ASHLAND — Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Tunnell recently released seven felony indictments issued by the most recent Ashland County grand jury.

A total of 11 indictments were issued in April, according to the release. Four of those remain sealed because they had not been served at the time of the press release.

Below is a list of the seven individuals who were indicted, according to the county’s prosecutor. Those individuals have or will appear in Ashland County Common Pleas Court.

April indictments in Ashland County

  • Jeffrey Hoffman, 57, of Ashland, was charged with possession of cocaine. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office was the investigating agency.
  • Kenneth Bailey, 59, of Ashland, was charged with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the initial complaint on April 3 and was the investigating agency.
  • Gregory Adkins, 23, of Cleveland, was charged with assault. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the initial complaint on April 6 and was the investigating agency.
  • Mason Fraley, 24, of Perrysville, was charged with trespass in a habitation when a person is present and abusing harmful intoxicants. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office filed the initial complaint on March 31 and was the investigating agency.
  • Benjamin Pounds, 38, of Ashland, was charged with two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them. The Ashland Police Division filed the initial complaint on April 7 and was the investigating agency.
  • Chad Murphy, 28, of Ashland, was charged with rape, kidnapping, gross sexual imposition, two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor or impaired person, two counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, two counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, two counts of tampering with evidence and possessing criminal tools. The Ashland Police Division filed the initial complaint on March 20 and was the investigating agency.
  • Jacob Bowens, 20, of Ashland, was charged with four counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person and four counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance. The Ashland Police Division filed the initial complaint on March 6 and was the investigating agency.
