Proceeds from the Big Green Garage Sale directly support Ashland County 4-H youth through a variety of ways, including scholarships, camp support, holiday programs and events, and contributions to community projects, including a donation toward the new civic center.
“The Big Green Garage Sale is our largest fundraiser and one of the most important ways we support Ashland County 4-H members throughout the year,” said Audra Schoen, president of the Ashland County 4-H Committee.
“Every donation, purchase and volunteer helps us provide scholarships, camp opportunities, recognition programs and community events that make a lasting impact on our youth.
“We are grateful for the continued support from our community.”
Organizers encourage residents to clean out closets, garages and storage areas and donate items they no longer need.
While a wide variety of items are accepted, the committee cannot accept cribs, car seats, tires, mattresses, televisions, underwear, bras, adult swimsuits, computers, electrical exercise equipment, encyclopedias, smoking paraphernalia, or broken, stained or torn items.
Community members are encouraged to shop the sale and help support the next generation of leaders in Ashland County.
