COLUMBUS — The American Veterans Department of Ohio has honored State Senator Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) as one of its 2023 Legislators of the Year for his continued support of veterans and the veteran community.
“I am very grateful to have been chosen for this distinguished honor, especially as the only non-service member to receive the award this year,” said Romanchuk. “Our nation owes an incredible debt to our veterans and I am proud to serve and represent the men and women in Ohio who have so selflessly served our country.”
The award was presented to Romanchuk at the 35th Annual AMVETS Legislative Awards ceremony in Columbus on Feb. 11.
