ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in December with Ashland County Court of Common Pleas.
• Daniel Straniak, 27, of Mansfield, was charged with failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, improperly handling firearms in a vehicle and tampering with evidence. Charges were filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 9 in connection with an incident authorities said happened on Oct. 17 in Ashland County and/or Wayne County.
• Brianna M. Lyall, 30, of Ashland, was charged with two counts of abusing harmful intoxicants, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, two counts of operating a motor vehicle or agricultural tractor and possessing criminal tools. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Dec. 9 in connection with an incident authorities said happened Nov. 13.
• Nicholas Dinninger, 32, of Mansfield, was charged with breaking and entering. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 17 in connection with an incident authorities said happened Dec. 16 along the 400 block of Township Road 1101.
• Travis Carmel, 33, of Mansfield, was charged with breaking and entering. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 17 in connection with an incident authorities said happened Dec. 16 along the 400 block of Township Road 1101.
• Mark A. Cordwell, 53, of Mansfield, was charged with an extradition complaint, meaning an arrest warrant against him was active and that authorities in another state have agreed to extradite him. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 23 in connection with an incident authorities said happened Dec. 21 along U.S. Route 42 in Ashland.
• Lauren A. Butler, 20, of Marietta, Ga., was charged with an extradition complaint, meaning an arrest warrant against her was active and that authorities in another state have agreed to extradite her. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 30 in connection with an incident authorities said happened Dec. 27 in the Ashland County Jail.
