ASHLAND — The Ashland County Historical Society will conclude its Spring Speaker Series by hosting, “Tea with Melanie Miller,” on Sunday, May 7, at the Freer Home, 1260 Center Street, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Miller will share her pageant experiences and speak about events that shaped her career. An added attraction at the event will be the display of her lovely gowns, pageant wear, and a sit-down afternoon tea with light refreshments.
Her experiences led her to become involved in the community. She will speak about her passion for helping others and inspiring women everywhere to follow their passions.
She was featured in the documentary “Yellow Roses: Real Girls. Real Life. Real Hope.” Miller served as a spokesperson for the film traveling around the country and discussing the pressures young women face as they come of age in today’s society.
Her message is designed to help every young woman discover her priceless value.
Miller is a woman of many talents. Her experiences as a singer, dancer, and television personality have inspired many women to follow their passions. She was crowned Miss Ohio in 2006 and went on to represent the Buckeye State at the Miss America Pageant in 2007.
In 2011 she won the Mrs. Ohio Pageant and went on to compete in the Mrs. America Pageant.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
