The mission of the Back2School event is to inspire positive change and make a lasting impact on the lives of students and families of Ashland County.

Together, we believe in the power of community to create opportunities for all children of Ashland County to have a bright future.

Children are receiving items through the combined efforts of community organizations, businesses and private donations that have both provided items and funds to benefit students that night.

All children will receive a grade-appropriate book bag filled with the essential school supplies. Children also can get a free haircut from local salons that night, water bottles and new clothing will be distributed at the fire station next to Dairy Queen.

Hot dogs and chips are also provided free of charge and Rise FM will be there providing music. Many vendors will be at the event with free activities and support items for families. The Ashland County Health Department will also be there with their new mobile unit and will be able to provide vaccinations that night for children who need them.
