Leroy “Bud’ Tennis’ soul departed this earth at home, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, due to Alzheimers. He was born on December 23, 1937 on the family farm to the late Ed and Nina (nee Enzor) Tennis, and graduated in 1955 from Savannah High School where he excelled in basketball and FFA. While playing in a basketball tournament he caught the eye of Dotty Donley, and 6 years later they were married. Bud was a farmer, and had no desire for any other vocation.

He is survived by his wife, Dotty, two children, John Tennis and Mindy (Curty) Bond, three grandchildren, Curtiss (Whitney) Bond, Taylor (Kolton) Edmondson, Tori Tennis, and great-granddaughter; Ava Estep, as well as brother, Vaughn (Stephanie) Tennis.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters; Jenice (David) Galloway, and Dana (Bill) Fast.

In keeping with Bud’s wishes, there will not be any services.
