ASHLAND — The following criminal charges were filed in February with the Ashland County Common Pleas Court.

Indictments

The following 16 people were the subject of an indictment and have or will appear before the Ashland County Common Pleas Court: 

  • Jeffrey Atterholt, 59, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence. The charge was filed by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) on Feb. 14 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 9.
  • Charles Beasley, 52, of Mansfield, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 24 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 22.
  • Jason Blythe, 45, of Ashland, was charged with breaking and entering. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Division on Feb. 13 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 11 and 12.
  • Michael Broadwater, 62, of Sullivan, was charged with having weapons under disability. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 18 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 14.
  • Michael Clark, 37, of Ashland, was charged with six counts of complicity in the commission of an offense, three counts each of wildlife violation, fishing without a license, and one count each of not having a fur taker permit, telecommunications fraud, tampering with records, hunting without permission and a violation of hunting ordinances. The charges were filed by an Ashland County grand jury on Feb. 14 in connection to incidents authorities say happened between March 21, 2023 and July 30, 2024.
  • Casey Henderson, 29, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Division on Feb. 27 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 27.
  • Christopher Honeycutt, 30, of Ashland, was charged with trespassing in a habitation when a person is present and aggravated possession of drugs. The charges were filed by ACSO on Feb. 5 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 3.
  • Mark Huber, 38, of Parma, was charged with possession of drugs and misdemeanor theft. The charges were filed by an Ashland County grand jury on Feb. 14 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Jan. 31.
  • Sabrina Love, of Norwalk, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 7 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 5.
  • Darryl Marks, 33, of Sullivan, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 7 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 5.
  • Jordan McWeeny, 36, of Ashland, was charged with domestic violence. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 21 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 18.
  • Brian Purdy, 52, of Ashland, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Division on Feb. 14 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 13.
  • Jesse Santos, 59, of Canton, was charged with kidnapping, gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition and endangering children. The charges were filed by an Ashland County grand jury on Feb. 14 in connection to an incident authorities say happened Sept. 17-18.
  • Trent Sexton, 22, of Sullivan, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 7 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 5.
  • Rodney Smith, 40, of Bellville, was charged with telecommunications harassment and two counts of violating a protection order. The charges were filed by an Ashland County grand jury on Feb. 14 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Sept. 19, 2024 and Jan. 3, 2025.
  • Luke Squire, 29, of Wellington, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by ACSO on Feb. 7 in connection to an incident authorities say happened on Feb. 5.
