LEXINGTON — Shelby’s Eve Schwemley enjoyed a superb girls basketball career at Shelby High School.

On Friday night, she concluded it in fine fashion.

The Whippets’ standout, who cracked 1,000 points as part of her prep resume, earned MVP honors at the Telegraph-Forum Girls Basketball Showcase at Lexington High School.

Schwemley scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out two assists to lead the East to a 76-49 win over the West in the region’s all-star game.

Loudonville’s Alesha Felix had 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Shelby’s Serena Ramsey also found double digits with 11 points in the East scorebook.

Ontario’s Paradise Jeru had nine points and five rebounds for the West. Lexington’s Makaree Chapman posted eight points and five rebounds.
