ASHLAND — The Jonas Brothers once sang, “I just wanna play my music,” and this summer, Ashland’s got plenty of bands playing their music as part of the 76th annual Guy C. Myers Memorial Bandshell concert series.
This year’s series kicks off June 15, with a magician’s show beginning at 6 p.m. It will be followed by a concert from the Ashland Area Community Concert Band, which will start at 8 p.m.
Concerts are on the docket for every Sunday and Thursday during June, July and up through Aug. 17. Unless otherwise noted, concerts will begin at 8 p.m. and go until 9:15 p.m.
All concerts are free for spectators to attend.
The bandshell is located in Brookside Park at 209 Parkside Drive.

Sunday, June 15: Magician Gordon Russ

Sunday, June 15: Ashland Area Community Concert Band
Celebrate Father’s Day with an uplifting night of music! Directed by Joseph Lewis of Ashland University, this ensemble brings together musicians from across the region to perform a mix of Broadway hits, traditional marches, and symphonic band classics.
A community favorite that never fails to delight audiences.
Thursday, June 19: South Street Jazz Company
A smooth and soulful night awaits with South Street Jazz Company. This talented six-member band blends classic jazz standards with their own signature style.
Featuring Melissa, an Ashland University graduate with experience performing with the Cleveland Orchestra, this group brings a dynamic and expressive sound that transports you straight to a New Orleans-style jazz club.
Sunday, June 22: The Diamond Project
Relive the magic of Neil Diamond with an incredible tribute performance by Gary Gomez and his band. From “Sweet Caroline” to “America,” this band captures the energy, passion, and signature sound of Diamond’s legendary concerts.
If you’re a fan of heartfelt lyrics, powerful vocals, and timeless hits, this is a must-see show!
Thursday, June 26: The Bridge Live
Take a trip down memory lane with The Bridge Live, a talented group specializing in classic rock from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. With Mary Armstrong’s commanding vocals and masterful keyboard work, backed by a top-tier band, their performances deliver both nostalgia and excitement.
Expect to hear iconic songs from Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Billy Joel, and more.
Sunday, June 29: Ashland Symphony Orchestra
“POPS IN THE PARK”: An evening of majestic, patriotic, and cinematic symphonic music, led by 2023 Grammy-winning conductor Michael Repper.
Featuring the thunderous 1812 Overture—complete with live cannons (weather permitting), this performance is the perfect way to kick off your Fourth of July celebrations!

Thursday, July 3: The AMF Big Jazz Band
Big band swing comes alive with The AMF Big Jazz Band, a 13-piece powerhouse delivering the vibrant sounds of the 1940s to 1960s.

Sunday, July 13: Head Games — A Tribute to Foreigner
Experience Foreignerís greatest hits, from “Feels Like the First Time” to “Juke Box Hero.” Fresh off Foreigner’s 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, this tribute band captures the raw energy, soaring vocals, and classic sound that defined arena rock.
