ASHLAND — The Ashland Fastpitch Chapter of the Huff-N-Puffers Senior Softball Organization is set to begin its 18th season.
There are two divisions. Division II plays at 5 p.m. and Division I (most competitive) plays at 6:40 p.m.
All doubleheaders are played at Brookside Park Main diamond on Wednesdays beginning after Memorial Day and ending before Labor Day (barring rainouts).
The minimum age is 60 within the 2025 calendar year. Exceptions are for previous players when the age limit was 50 and for underaged player family members who are catchers out of necessity. Players choose which division they prefer to play preseason.
There are 22 players per division. Every five games, teams are rechosen. Batting lineups are determined by a weekly lottery draw.
Both divisions are presently closed for the 2025 season but due to attrition (retirements, injuries, quitters, deaths), a sign-up waiting list exists on a first-come, first-served basis. If interested, text or leave a voicemail at 419-651-6697.
