MANSFIELD — Ashland’s summer swim teams combined for three fifth-place finishes Saturday during the final day of the Greater Mansfield Aquatic Conference Championships.

The girls team scored 485 points, while the boys finished with 247. Ashland earned 732 points as a whole in the combined competition.

Colonel Crawford’s longtime summer swim coach, Mike Holtzapfel, went out in style.

Holtzapfel informed the rest of the GMAC coaches last week that this season would be his last. His team gave him a going-away present he won’t soon forget.
