Howard Wilbert “Butch” Sharick, 62, passed away on July 24, 2025.
Born on October 8, 1961, Butch was a proud graduate of Mapleton High School and dedicated many years of his life working as a postal worker and for the Ashland Parks Division on the ball crew and park security.
Butch was known for his outspoken personality, kind heart and loving spirit. He had a passion for riding motorcycles, enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing and cherished every moment he had with his family. His greatest joy was being surrounded by the people he loved, and he never missed an opportunity to share laughter, stories and love with them.
Butch is survived by his fiancee, Jodi Ables; his daughters, Miranda (Mike Hay), Ashley (Austin Titus) and Amber Sharick; his sons, Morgan (Renee Young) and Kyler Sharick; and his 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Dale and Randy Sharick; and his sister, Candy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Carol and Wilburt Sharick; his grandparents, Pauline and Owen Sharick and uncle Dave Sharick.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held at the Mayflower Congregational Church, 548 N. McElroy Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44905 on Thursday August 31, 2025 at 5:00pm.
