ASHLAND — FirstEnergy promised to restore power to roughly 4,600 customers in Ashland by Monday afternoon.

Customers first experienced outages Monday around 8:15 a.m.

“Crews are working to make repairs in a local substation and restore power to about 4,000 customers in the Ashland area,” said Hannah Catlett, a FirstEnergy spokeswoman.

She said crews were working to safely isolate the issue and will restore power to “as many customers as possible in stages.”

Catlett said she could identify the cause on Monday morning.
