October is here, which means it’s time for costumes and candy. Whether your favorite kid is dressing up as a superhero, princess, goblin or ghoul, we’ve got all the details on local trick or treat times in Ashland, Knox and Richland counties below.
Ashland County
Ashland — Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Trick-or-treat will be Oct., rain or shine. If you wish to have trick-or-treaters visit your home, please turn on the outside porch light.
Bailey Lakes — Oct. 30 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
If you wish to have trick-or-treaters visit your home, please turn on the outside porch light.
Hayesville — Oct. 30th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Loudonville — Oct. 25 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The Halloween parade begins at 4 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating at downtown businesses from 5 to 6 p.m. and trick-or-treating in residential neighborhoods from 6 to 7 p.m.
Mifflin — Oct. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m.
There will be an after party at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
Perrysville — Oct. 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
A parade and costume judging will kick off at 4:15 followed by trick-or-treating, according to the village’s website.
Polk — Oct. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Savannah — Oct. 30 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Also on Oct. 30 is Ghoulish Treats in the Park, which begins in Academy Park at 5:30 and continues through trick-or-treat. Sweet treats like cookies and cider will be available.
Knox County
Brinkhaven — Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Centerburg — Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Danville — Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The rain date for trick-or-treat is Oct. 31st from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Fredericktown — Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Gambier — Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Village council members will be passing out cider and donuts at the Pocket Park during trick-or-treat.
Mount Vernon — Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Utica — Oct. 31 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Richland County
Bellville — Oct. 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
A Halloween parade sponsored by the Bellville/Jefferson Township Fire Dept. will follow at 7 p.m. Participants should line up on Bell Street; no pre-registration is required. A costume contest will take place at the bandstand immediately following the parade.
Butler — Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Lexington — RESCHEDULED to Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The Village of Lexington will also host a Halloween walk on the bike trail Oct. 25 from noon to 4 p.m. Local businesses will pass out candy and food trucks will be onsite at Lexington Community Park. Parking is available at the park or the Lexington Senior Civic Center.
Lucas — Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
A parade will follow at 7 p.m. The route starts at St. Paul Lutheran Church and stops behind the high school. The rain date for trick-or-treating is Nov. 1.
Ontario — RESCHEDULED to Nov. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Mansfield — RESCHEDULED to Nov. 1 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Residents wishing to participate in trick-or-treat are asked to turn on their porch light between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Downtown Mansfield Inc. trick-or-treat is cancelled this year due to the Main Street Improvement project.
Shiloh — Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Shelby — Oct. 25 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
The city’s Halloween parade will begin at 2 p.m.
Plymouth — Oct. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Halloween fun also includes the 6th annual Boo on Broadway in downtown Plymouth from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will feature a trunk or treat, food trucks, music, games and children’s activities, photo ops and a glow parade and costume contest.
