Sparta Highland took full advantage of overtime to defeat Bellville Clear Fork 13-10 for an Ohio high school football victory at Clear Fork High on Oct. 10.
Nothing was decided in the third quarter, with Sparta Highland and Bellville Clear Fork locked in a 7-7 stalemate.
Neither team could dent the scoreboard in the first, second and fourth quarters.
Sparta Highland held on with a 6-3 scoring edge in the first overtime period.
Last season, Bellville Clear Fork and Sparta Highland squared off on Oct. 18, 2024 at Highland High School.
In recent action on Sept. 26, Bellville Clear Fork faced off against Marion Harding High School.
