JEROMESVILLE โ€” The Hillsdale Falcons are flying back to Canton โ€” and this time, theyโ€™re chasing redemption.

One year removed from a heartbreaking loss in the state championship game, No. 5-ranked Hillsdale punched its return ticket last week in emphatic fashion.

The Falcons (13โ€“1) scored touchdowns on their first four drives โ€” three of them on plays of 42 yards or more โ€” and rolled to a 41โ€“14 win over McDonald in the Division VII state semifinal at Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.

Behind another electric performance from senior running back Owen Sloan, Hillsdale made a statement: this team isnโ€™t done writing its story. In fact, theyโ€™re rewriting it.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the Falcons will take the field at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium to battle second-ranked St. Henry (13โ€“1) for a Division VII state title. Kickoff is at 10:30 a.m.

With the most successful senior class in program history โ€” more than 40 wins in four years โ€” and an offense that has topped 40 points seven times this season, the Falcons have earned their shot at glory.

Ashland Source wants to help Hillsdale fans send the Falcons all the energy and encouragement they can before championship Saturday.
