VENICE TOWNSHIP — A 30-year-old Attica man was killed early Tuesday morning after a one-vehicle crash in Seneca County, according to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Morgan Patton was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to authorities, the incident took place near mile post 30, in Venice Township, Seneca County.
Patton was driving a black 2005 GMC Sierra eastbound on U.S. 224 when the vehicle traveled left of center and then off the left side of the road before overturning. The Patrol stated that Patton was not wearing a safety belt, and was ejected from the vehicle.
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of US 224 were closed for approximately two hours while the scene was cleared.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Attica Fire Department, Seneca County EMS, Seneca County Coroner’s Office, Ohio Department of Transportation and Keller’s Truck Repair.
This crash remains under investigation.
