ASHLAND — Winter Storm Fern will provide a respite from school for Ashland County students on Monday.

All classes at Ashland University main campus, Dwight Schar College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Mansfield and Ashland Theological Seminary are cancelled on Monday, Jan. 26, due to the high snow and inclement weather.

Each campus location will be closed. Only essential operations personnel are to report to work.

Likewise, the following public school systems have also cancelled classes, Ashland City Schools, Mapleton, Loudonville-Perrysville, Crestview, and Hillsdale.

Snow is expected to stop before noon on Monday, but forecasters expect dangerous sub-zero wind-chill will take over on Monday night.
