With heavy hearts we share the passing of Brandon Nathaniel Sheaffer, on February 19, 2026, taken far too soon at the young age of 26. Brandon walked this Earth with an abundance of love for his family and will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born on March 5, 1999 in Ashland, Ohio he was an energetic, joyful soul who brought immense light to our lives. Known for his gentle and kind nature, Brandon was a friend to all. He lived life with so much joy, love, and compassion for others. Brandon was a 2017 graduate of Hillsdale High School. While in high school, he studied with the electrical engineering program at North Central State College Kehoe Center. His enthusiasm for learning the intricate process of how things function both electrical and mechanical, lasted throughout his life. He thrived on learning about breakthrough technologies and next-generation gadgets. Brandon was passionate about helping others and was often found assisting family and friends to remedy their technology issues.
Growing up, he enjoyed spending time with his family, going on vacations, playing games, building Legos, experimenting with electronics kits, and hanging out with his big brother. He enjoyed sports as a child and played summer league baseball before turning his focus to football as he got older. As an adult, Brandon loved traveling and exploring new places. He loved to hang out with friends attending rodeos, watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. A devoted football fan, he loved cheering on his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Nothing made Brandon happier than spoiling his pride and joy, his sweet cat, Tyger Ann. He loved holidays and treasured the time spent with family. Some of his most memorable moments were spending time with his beautiful nieces, Harley and Laurel.
Brandon will be profoundly missed by; his mother, Angela Sheaffer and father, Rich (Renee) Sheaffer; brother, Richie (Kayla) Sheaffer; nieces, Harley and Laurel Sheaffer; maternal grandparents, Don and Joyce Butler; paternal grandmother, Judy Sheaffer; maternal aunt, Lynette (Dave) Swartz; paternal aunts, Lisa (Jason) Turner, Tina (Eric) Himes, Maggie (John) Wauthier; and many extended family, great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
Brandon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph Sheaffer.
Brandon’s family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Snyder Funeral Home-Lindsey Chapel, 123 N. Market St., Loudonville, Ohio. A funeral service honoring Brandon’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. The graveside service will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville, Ohio.
