Ronald Bailey, 93, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, in Ashland, Ohio. He was born on November 8, 1932, in Washingtonville, Ohio. Ronald lived a life marked by dedication to his family and an enduring passion for agriculture.

Ronald grew up during the Great Depression and World War 2 and the dedication and hard work of his family allowed them all to make their way through these difficult times. He graduated from Granger Sharon High School in 1951. Ronald married his wife Nana (Wass) on March 20,1954.

Ronald began his career working in the foundry at the Permold Company in Medina, Ohio. In 1955, he transitioned to managing Lynn Belle Dairy Farm, where he cultivated his expertise in dairy farming. His commitment to excellence led him to a significant role in 1966 when he entered into a joint partnership with The Ohio State University at their dairy farm near Jeromesville, Ohio. Under Ronald’s leadership, the farm underwent remarkable improvements turning it into one of the finest dairy farms in the county. His contributions left a lasting impact on the agricultural community.

In 1980, Ronald retired from his position at the university’s dairy farm and embarked on a new chapter of his life. He purchased a small farm and built a new home, continuing to embrace the rural lifestyle that had defined much of his career.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. Bailey and his mother, Agnes M. Cope as well as his brothers Carl Bailey and Jerry Bailey and sisters Kate Hawthorn and Barb Sell.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Nana Bailey; his children William (Karla), Steven (Jill), and David (Patti) and his granddaughters Brittany Bailey, Michelle Ford and Meredith Bailey. His family was a source of great pride and joy throughout his life.
