ASHLAND — The Ashland Huff-N-Puffers senior fast-pitch softball organization is set to begin its 19th season.

The 15-game schedule begins the Wednesday before Memorial Day and ends the last Wednesday before Labor Day (barring rain outs). Games are played at Brookside Park.

One must be 60 years old or older within the present calendar year. There are two divisions.

Division II plays at 5 p.m. and Division I (most competitive) plays afterwards. Play is recreational in nature but players enjoy the competition and camaraderie aspect as well.

Division I is presently closed but Division II is in need of a rover/center fielder and a right fielder. Any gender is welcome.

New player fee is $100. Returning player fee is $75. Despite Division I’s roster being closed, due to attrition (injury/death/quitters) a waiting list exists.
