OLIVESBURG — The Arrows brought their brooms to Friday’s 38th Forest Pruner Invitational.

Ashland swept the girls and boys team titles at the 13-team event at Crestivew High School. 

The Ashland girls scored 152 points, well ahead of runner-up Clear Fork (105). Northmor (82) was third.

In boys action, the Arrows finished with 147.75 points. Clear Fork (108) was second and Centerburg (82) was third.

Girls

Ashland’s Sadie Walter was a triple-winner Friday. Walter took first in the 100-meter hurdles (15.17 seconds), 100-meter dash (12.49) and the 300-meter hurdles (45.11).

Clear Fork’s Taylor Bly won the 200 (25,68) and the 400 (57.61). Mapleton’s Savannah Beane won the seated 100 (32.14) and seated 400 (2:39.37).

Other local individual winners included Clear Fork’s Quinn Stover in the 800 (2:29.34), Clear Fork’s Katrina Neal in the 1,600 (5:09.45), Mansfield Christian’s Riley Patrick in the 3,200 (11:26.07), Ashland’s Frankie Rupsis in the high jump (5-foot-2), Ashland’s Oaklynn Burns in the long jump (17 feet, 1.25 inches) and Centerburg’s Stella Sands in the shot put (38 feet, 3 inches).

The Crestview 4×100 relay team of Tori Kidney, Devon Hickey, Logan Moore and Bella Grant won in 51.63.

The Clear Fork quartet of Katie Beck, Asia Bechtel, Eliana Pelkey and Taylor Richmond won the 4×200 in 1:48.15. 

Ashland’s 4×800 team of Aliviah Sauder, Haylee Bond, Brynlynn Burgett and Ava Cline won in 10:24.12.

Boys

Ashland’s Dakota Kruty and Braden Donatini were both triple winners. 

Kruty won the long jump with a leap of 21-3.5 and took first in the 200 (22.72). 

Donatini swept the 110 hurdles (15.41) and the 300 hurdles (40.11).

Kruty and Donatini teamed with Avion Woodard and Jayden Colvin to win the 4×100 relay in 43.35.

Mapleton’s Braylon Goon won the 800 (1:55.20) and the 1,600 (4:27.51).

Clear Fork’s Nash Evans won the 100 (11.08) and joined with Devyn Oswalt, Ethan Beck and Aidan Haring to win the 4×200 (1:32.03).

Plymouth’s Izaya Reynolds won the 400 (50.39).

Local winners in the field events included Crestview’s Lane Robinson in the high jump (6-0), Clear Fork’s Nathan Wine in the shot put (51-11) and Centerburg’s Jackson Ballinger in the discus (153-2).

Ashland’s 4×800 team of Jack Parsons, Brady Anderson, Jonah Coffee and Jamie Stickney won in 8:23.10.
