JEROMESVILLE — Hillsdale High School’s 68-member Class of 2026 turned its tassels Sunday afternoon in front of friends, family and district staff members.

Its class flower was a carnation. “Ribs” by Lorde was the class’ song and its motto was “We finished together.” The Class of 2026 also gifted a microwave to the district.

Performances by the high school wind ensemble and choir were also featured Sunday.

The class orators were seniors Allyson Morgan and Valerie Raubenolt.

A chair was left empty in the midst of the graduating class as a memorial to Hillsdale student Faithlyn Bogavich, who tragically passed away in a 2019 house fire at age 12.

The message below was printed in Sunday’s program:

“The empty chair in the midst of the graduating seniors has been left open as a memorial to one of their own. Faithlyn Bogavich was loved by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She filled every day with energy. Whether it was in the classroom, at band, cheerleading or playing in the ukulele choir, she left a positive fingerprint with every life she touched. Her friends, family and the school have created the Faithlyn Bogavich Memorial Fund in collaboration with our FFA chapter to help others pursue her love for animals. We are honored to have her family here to share in this momentous occasion.”
