ASHLAND — The following Ohio Department of Transportation construction projects are anticipated to impact traffic in Ashland County.

Interstate Projects
Interstate 71 resurfacing – I-71 northbound and southbound from the Ashland County line to State Route 13 will have single-lane closures for a resurfacing project. Nightly lane closures will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for resurfacing work. Temporary, intermittent daytime lane closures will only be used when necessary.
U.S. and State Route Projects
State Route 60 culvert replacement – State Route 60 between County Road 1775 and County Road 1600 is closed for 30 days for a culvert replacement. The detour route will be SR 60 south to SR 511 south to U.S. 30 east to SR 60 and reverse.
Estimated completion: Friday, Oct. 9.
State Route 60 culvert replacement – SR 60 between County Road 1754 and Township Road 1806 will close Monday, September 14 for 14 days for a culvert replacement in front of the Heartland Technical Education Center. The detour route will be SR 60 south to SR 511 south to U.S. 30 east to SR 60 and reverse. PLEASE NOTE: State Route 60 is also closed further north, between County Road 1775 and County Road 1600, for a separate culvert replacement from Sept. 8 through Oct. 9.
Estimated completion: Friday, Sept. 25.
State Route 511 resurfacing – SR 511 from Township Road 462 to the Lorain County Line will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
Estimated completion: October 2026.
