ASHLAND — The Ashland County Fair is coming up next week which means fall farm tours are looming, too.
Many people are unaware that there are actually several counties that conduct tours so we wanted to share a full list of all of the options for you and your family to consider. There is no RSVP required or cost to participate in any of these tours.
Lorain County Farm Bureau’s Farm Tour will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26 from noon to 5 p.m. and is located in the Columbia Station area of Lorain County. There are four hosts – Aquatic Technology, Martin Blueberries, Meadowbrook Farms and Red Wagon Farm.

Wayne County Farm Bureau’s 60th annual Farm Tour will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11 from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
This year’s tour features nine tour stops (two are closed on Sunday) in the northeast quadrant of Wayne County. Stops include Skylar Brook Farm, Elm Run Farms (closed Sunday), Lavender Trails, Varner Farms, Galehouse Tree Farm, Rupp-Dale Farm, Centerra Co-op, Certified Angus Beef Education Farm at Chippewa Valley Angus, and Smithville Community Historical Society (closed Sunday).
Activities and food offerings vary at each stop and are described in the booklet. Printed booklets are available at our office in Wooster and at various agribusinesses around Wayne County.

Medina County’s Fall Foliage Tour will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 and 11 from noon to 5 p.m. each day. This year’s tour is located in Guilford, Montville, Sharon and Wadsworth townships.
There are six hosts on this year’s tour and 1 of the stops (Rupp-Dale Farm) is co-featured on the Wayne County Farm Tour as well. Additional stops include Geig’s Orchard, Our Pleasure Stables, Wadsworth Area Historical Society, Seville Historical Society and the Seville Branch of the Medina County Library.
