LOUDONVILLE — The 19th Annual Mohican 5K & Fun Run/Walk is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026 — giving runners, walkers and families the perfect way to kick off Halloween in Loudonville.

The event will begin at the intersection of Wally Road and West Main Street in Loudonville, adjacent to the Loudonville-Mohican Bike Path. The scenic 5K course will take runners south along Wally Road to Route 3, routing participants onto the dedicated bike path. Runners will then loop back toward the finish line by the Black Fork Mohican River near the Wally Road ball fields.

The 1-mile Fun Run/Walk will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9:30 a.m.

“We’re really looking forward to the 19th Annual Mohican 5K & Fun Run on Halloween morning,” Event Organizer Kara Armstrong said. “There’s something special about being out on the Loudonville-Mohican Bike Path in the fall, and having Halloween on the same weekend this year makes it even more fun. It’s a great way for families to get outside, enjoy the morning together, and support an important part of our community.”

Participants are encouraged to register early. Registration and payment must be received by Oct. 11, 2026, to guarantee a Mohican 5K long-sleeve shirt or beanie. Online registration will remain open through 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The 2026 registration fees are $30 for adults in the 5K, $25 for 5K participants age 17 and under, and $25 for the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. Race-day registration is also available for an additional $5 fee.

Costumes are welcome as participants celebrate Halloween while enjoying the scenic Mohican area. Whether running the 5K, walking the 1-mile course or bringing the family out for the Fun Run, the event offers a fun way to start the holiday together.

Proceeds from the Mohican 5K benefit the Loudonville-Mohican Bike Path, helping with maintenance and improvements to the area trail.
