MILTON TOWNSHIP – An Ashland man was transported to Ohio Health Mansfield on Monday night following a one-vehicle rollover crash, according to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The driver was identified as Peter J. Koutris, 21, of Ashland. Koutris suffered non-life threatening injuries. Two juvenile passengers were treated and released with minor injuries.
The incident took place on County Road 1475 near Township Road 1353 at approximately 8:58 p.m. Troopers responded to the scene and found a 2009 Kia Spectra disabled in the roadway.
According to the Patrol, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on County Road 1475, when it went off the south side of the road, over-corrected, crossed the center line, slid off the north side of the road, struck the ditch, struck several rocks, struck the ditch again, overturned, and came to final rest on County Road 1475.
Koutris was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Both juveniles were wearing seat belts.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Ashland Fire/EMS, and Bate’s Towing.
It is unknown if drugs and or alcohol use were a factor in this crash. The crash remains under investigation.
