Ashland Chautauqua’s Silver Celebration – Special Spring 2024 Chautauqua Performance

Ashland Chautauqua presents “An Evening with Louis Bromfield” in the Main Barn of Malabar Farm State Park. Scholar Dr. John Dennis Anderson will portray Louis Bromfield through a first-person living history performance and then he will participate in a question/answer session with the audience, first as Louis Bromfield and then as the scholar. Louis Bromfield was a local Pulitzer Prize winning author, conservationist, and the owner of Malabar Farm. Dr. Anderson is a performance studies scholar and Professor Emeritus in Communication Studies at Emerson College in Boston. He has appeared at Ashland Chautauqua many times. We are pleased to have him help us celebrate 25 years of programming with this special event that will close the 3 days of programming.
