Ashland Chautauqua’s Silver Celebration – Special Spring 2024 Workshop

April 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Ashland Chautauqua presents “A Cultivated Friendship”, a play reading and discussion on the written letters exchanged by Louis Bromfield and Edith Wharton from 1931-1937. Scholars Dr. John Dennis Anderson and Karen Vuranch will portray Bromfield and Wharton. Louis Bromfield was a local Pulitzer Prize winning author, conservationist, and the owner of Malabar Farm. Edith Wharton was also a Pulitzer Prize winning American author and designer. Anderson and Vuranch have both appeared at Ashland Chautauqua many times. We are pleased to have them help us celebrate 25 years of programming with this special event.

The event is free and open to the public.
