Memberships and Logging In
Why can’t I read the full article(s)? It’s asking me to sign in?
If you are seeing pop ups that are blurring out an article, it is likely because you are not signed into your account associated with your subscription (your Membership = linked to the email you signed up with).

You must be signed in to your account in order for the system to recognize your membership/subscription. If you see “Sign In” at the top right corner of your screen, that is the issue!
INSTRUCTIONS: You already have an account created with us with your email address, so click sign in in the top right corner Account icon or you may see the screen below.

From there, click “Already have an account? Sign in.” Enter your email. Next, you will receive a 6-digit code via email (check spam) and you can click the link directly/button or input the verification code. See the images below for a guide:

Click email a one-time code. Keep this screen up!

You’ll get an email that looks like this. Now enter the unique code or click “Continue to Richland Source” button and you’ll automatically log back in!

You will stay logged in for 30 days on all devices you are logged into. After that you will be asked to log back in again as a security feature.
Why do I have to log back in on a different device?
If you’ve created an account and are being prompted to sign up or sign in again it is most likely because you are accessing the site from a different device and/or browser. Our system uses cookies on your browser to remember you. That means if you access content from multiple devices/browsers you will be required to sign in on each.
Once you are signed in, it will remember you for 30 days before prompting another sign in as a security measure.
📱 Avoid the hassle and download the app! Stay signed in for 365 days. Learn more here.
I clicked “send authorization code” but nothing is happening. What do I do?
This happens on occasion. First, be sure to check your spam or junk folder. The authorization code emails are sometimes filtered there depending on the level of your email security settings.
If you still cannot locate the authorization code email, please contact us. You can email us at membership@richlandsource.com, membership@ashlandsource.com or membership@knoxpages.com.
We strongly recommend that you also set a password through your Account page so you have a back up method for logging in.
Can I use a password instead of the authorization code?
Yes! And we actually recommend it. Setting a password is not required; however, it can be helpful for future logins if you use any sort of password saver on your device/browser.
💡Click here to watch a 3 minute video to reset/set up a password!
To set your password go to your account page. Below the section showing your display name and email address you will see a box that says “Create a Password.” Click that then go to your email. You will receive an email with the subject line “Set a new password.” Click the red button that says “set new password.”
Please note: if you read multiple sites, you must complete this process for all 3 sites separately. Your email is shared across our network of sites, but passwords do not.
I still need help. Preferably human.

What are the benefits of membership?
The most important benefit to membership is knowing you’re making an investment in your community that you get to see every single day of the year. It shows up in every reported article, community bulletin, investigative series and in-person events.
Besides that, members have access to great benefits like…
🔑 Unlimited access to all of our local news reporting across Richland, Ashland, Knox and Delaware counties.
📰 Member-only newsletters
🎟️ Preferred access to ticket opportunities with local partners.
🪑 Preferred access and seating at live and online news events
What does my membership pay for? How do you use the money?
100% of membership investment is poured back into our newsrooms. Your membership helps pay professional reporters, fund events, and create high-impact reporting series. Each day, members see the results of their investment on the pages of our news sites.
I read more than one of your sites. Will I have to buy more than one membership?
Nope! Your membership covers all four of our regional news sites in Ashland, Delaware, Knox, and Richland Counties.
What is a content gate, anyway?
“Content gate” is another way to say “paywall.” We like the image of an easily opened gate a lot better than a wall to keep folks out.
A content gate provides our paying members with unlimited access to our most time-intensive reporting, while encouraging regular readers to become members so they have unlimited access, too.
Do you have a family membership option?
Yes, we are excited to offer a Duo membership at each of our member tiers. A duo membership is not limited to family or a household. This is an ideal option for a husband/wife or adult child/parent or even two friends. You can update your single Membership Plan to a Duo Plan in My Account.
It’s important to note that if you are signing up for a duo membership, one person will be the primary member and there will be one payment method on file. Once the primary membership is established, you will be able to invite the second person to join the membership.
Why can’t I see my membership details on all 3 news sites?
Though your membership gives you access to all our news sites, your paid membership can only be seen and managed from the primary site where you signed up. So if you go to My Account on Knox Pages or Ashland Source, it will say there are no subscriptions to show. But if you go to your Account on Richland Source you should be able to see your subscription.
You do not have to pay for a membership for all our news sites. If you have any questions about your membership status, please email us at membership@richlandsource.com, membership@ashlandsource.com, membership@delawaresource.com or membership@knoxpages.com.
Will I receive a renewal reminder if I opted to pay by check?
Yes, you should receive an email 30 days prior to your renewal date with instructions to either send in another check or to log in and add payment information to your account to pay by card.
If we do not receive payment by your renewal date your membership will be placed in a hold status. You will not be able to access premium content during this time.
I read your reporting all the time, but just cannot afford a membership. Is there financial aid available?
Absolutely. Please see our Storybridge Membership option.
