CLEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP – A motorcycle driver was hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday after a crash in Clear Creek Township near County Road 500 in Ashland County, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the incident involved a 2008 Honda motorcycle and occurred at approximately 12:57 p.m. on U.S. 250. The driver was not identified by the Patrol.
According to its report, a 2008 Honda motorcycle was traveling south-eastbound on US 250 when the driver went left of center and overturned on its side. The driver of the motorcycle was ejected.
The driver of the Honda motorcycle sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash and was life-flighted by Metro Life-Flight to Akron City Hospital. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
One lane of US 250 was closed for approximately 90 minutes.
Other agencies assisting at the crash scene were: The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Savannah Fire & EMS, and ODOT.
The crash is currently under investigation.
