Page Excavating on Friday began demolishing the multi-story building that was once the F.E. Myers Pump Company factory and then was home to Landoll's Inc. before it was given to Pump House Ministries.
The city of Ashland is paying for the $436,000 cleanup, which includes all former Pump House structures north of Fourth Street from Orange Street to Union Street. The former restaurant and office building is not being demolished.
Current plans for the site involve turning it into an "urban meadow." More information and photos from inside the building can be found in the story at this link.
