ASHLAND — Taft Intermediate’s principal said he was feeling “fresh as a daisy” on the blue-skied morning of the district’s last day of the year. Stephen McDonnell’s tongue-in-cheek remark came after spending 12 hours tent camping on the roof of the fourth and fifth grade school off Smith Road.
