ASHLAND — Sixteen children graduated the preschool program at Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center (ACWHCC) on May 4th in front of family and friends.
Honored guests for the graduation were ACWHCC Superintendent Mike Parry, High School Principal Rod Cheyney, and specialists who regularly visit the program: Martha Buckner of the Ashland Symphony Orchestra, Mark Koehler of Music and Movement at North Central State College, and Jamie Hueber of the Ashland County Bookmobile.Â
Superintendent Parry gave the commencement address and thanked parents for allowing their children to be ACWHCC preschool students and to serve as teachers for ACWHCC’s Early Childhood Education students.
The ACWHCC preschool program has been in existence for 44 years and is state-certified and operated by supervised students in the Early Childhood Education program. Mrs. Shirley Meehan is the instructor.
