ASHLAND – Ashland High School’s film production team, Arrow Films, has done it again.

The team has completed its second entirely student-produced film and is eager to show “As Simple As Hello” to the public during a premiere event 7 p.m. May 10 in Archer Auditorium.

Displaying the grueling reality of bullying today, the film tells the story of Andrew Peters taking on his new school and dealing with all the complications that accompany the transition.

The mission of the film is to combat bullying and raise awareness for teenagers, just like Andrew, struggling with the trials and tribulations of high school. Hardships, tragedy, and betrayal all appear in this introspective motion picture.

A trailer for the film can be watched below.

The film stars Jeremy Lee as Andrew Peters, McKenna Stoffer as Olivia Stacy, Kameran Puster as Parker Kennedy and Cade Hickey as Tony Fincher.

All proceeds from “As Simple As Hello” will be donated to Ravenwood Health and Cornerstone Counseling of Ashland. Ravenwood Health is dedicated to helping those with mental and/or drug abuse related problems. Cornerstone Counseling helps those struggling with mental health find warmth, emotional support and a way to re-build their lives.

Tickets for the premiere will be on sale from 2:45 to 4 p.m. May 6-9 at the Ashland High School front office as well as at the door. Tickets can also be reserved at asahfilm.com. General admission tickets are $5, and VIP tickets are $10.
