ASHLAND — Four suspects, two of them juveniles, were arrested Thursday after Ashland Police responded to a home invasion call in the 700 block of Orange Road.

According to a press release from Ashlant Police Lt. Garry Alting, authorities were notified shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday in connection with a home invasion of an apartment. The victim was allegedly forced into a closet of his apartment while four suspects proceeded to steal items from the residence.

Approximately three hours later, Ashland Police officers located three of the suspects near a home 400 block of East Liberty Street. The follow-up investigation conducted by the officers and a detective at the scene led police to a house on West Main Street.

Authorities stated just after noon on Thursday, with the assistance of both the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Special Response Team and detectives from the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Ashland Police executed a search warrant at the fourth suspect’s home located in the 400 block of West Main Street. During the search police recovered items taken during the robbery.

Two of the suspects were held in the Ashland County Jail pending review by the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office. A third suspect, a juvenile, was held in detention pending review. The fourth suspect, also a juvenile, was released to a parent.

The case remains under investigation.
