ASHLAND– At Ashland Source, we believe journalism should be done with our community.

Yes, we strive to write stories that matter — ones that are relevant to our readers and accurately reflect what its like to live and work in Ashland County —  but in an effort to truly listen to our readers, we have Open Source.

This platform launched last year with the intention to allow readers to ask questions of our newsroom and to shape what and how we go about reporting on the community.

The process is simple: You ask a question, and it might be answered immediately, or readers might vote to determine the top question.

Then, reporter Tracy Leturgey will investigate and share the answer with you.

Open Source how it works

Ask us anything. What questions have you always had about Ashland, Loudonville, Perrysville or another Ashland County community?

Previously we’ve answered questions like: Is the tunnel on Milton Township Road 1536 haunted?  And why does city council pass resolutions on the first reading?

What would you assign us to report? Submit a question below and visit ashlandsource.com/open_source often to share what you’re interested in seeing.
