ASHLAND — Pizza and coffee and chocolate fudge, oh my!

The Ashland County Cancer Association’s 16th annual Taste of Ashland event will feature nearly twenty Ashland area restaurants, bakeries and other food vendors, each with a different tasty treat to share with the community.

“You don’t want to miss it. The vendors are always so generous with their portions. And supporting a good cause,” executive director Angela Woodward said.

The  event, which aims to raise awareness and funding for the Ashland County Cancer Association, will be held at the Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, located at 527 East Liberty St. in  Ashland, on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The countywide cancer association aims Ashland County cancer patients with financial, nutritional, emotional, and educational support.  In 2018, the organization financially assisted 252 clients at the cost of $95,000.

In addition to the food sampling, the event includes a silent auction with 55 baskets, three raffles and a 50-50 drawing. The raffles feature chances to win an overnight stay in a treehouse, a Brookside Pool family pass and a two-person all season pass for AU sports.

Admission to the event costs $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12 and free for children ages 0-4.
