ASHLAND — In order to safely and effectively continue serving the community in Ashland County, The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Ashland will be instituting the following changes, effective immediately and until further notice, in response to the coronavirus pandemic:
- Community Meals will continue to be served daily (Monday-Friday) from 11am to 11:30 a.m. but will be takeout only. If driving, please pull into the front loop for service, starting at 10:55 a.m. If walking, please come to the front doors to be served.
- The Food Pantry will continue to operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but these bags will be more standardized and delivered outside to the car or person waiting. The Pantry will not be allowing clients inside to pick out individual orders. Please call ahead (419-282-4223) for appointments and requests.
- All Music Programming, including our visits to nursing homes and assisted living facilities are suspended until further notice.
- All in-facility programming such as walkers club, bounce and play, self-defense, card club, and all other programs not listed are suspended until further notice.
- The Kroc Soccer playoffs have been canceled. This includes practices effective immediately. Having finished the regular season awards will be distributed when the capacity allows.
- Our after-school program, the Learning Zone, will be closed effective Monday, March 16th until further notice. (As of now 3 weeks minimum to follow the Governor’s directive)
- The building will be open for essential personnel only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until further notice effective Monday, March 16.
“Our hope and desire is to return to a normal schedule as soon as possible, which may not be until the end of the month. We will continue to serve our community in the most effective and safe manner possible to help provide hope for our friends, family and neighbors here in Ashland County,” the Director of Development Brandon Wells said in a press release.
