ASHLAND — The Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce is in search of a president to lead the organization.
This position has responsibility for effectively directing the operations of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce, and providing visionary leadership in promoting and advancing the mission, goals and programs of the organization.
Responsibilities include organizational/staff administration; fiscal management; strategic planning; community development; membership and program management; and professional staff development.
The Ashland Area Chamber currently as more more than 500 members and hosts the Leadership Ashland and Ashland Young Professionals programs, as well as an active Safety Council.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of five years of leadership experience in organizational administration, financial management, as well as community and economic development.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to positively affect change and manage balanced budgets and programs; must exhibit a positive attitude; possess outstanding verbal and written communication expertise, high-level interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals, boards, not-for-profit organizations, government officials and agencies.
The annual salary is in the $55,000 to $65,00 range, with healthcare and retirement benefits available.
