ASHLAND — During the months of June and July, WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) will increase fruit and vegetable benefits from $9 or $11 per month to $35 per month for each woman and child WIC participant, according to a press release from Richland Public Health.
Families with children more than 1-year-old can receive this increased benefit for each child: if you have two children participating in WIC, you can receive $70 per month in fruit and vegetable benefits; three qualifying children = $105 per month.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have children under 5 years of age, call WIC in Ashland at 419-289-3359 to receive all WIC benefits.
