ASHLAND — Nominations are being sought for Ashland County Women of Achievement.
Nomination forms may be picked up at the Ashland Public Library, Loudonville Public Library, and on Facebook: Ashland County Ohio Women of Achievement.
Application deadline is Aug. 31.
Former recipients, friends, employees and family members are welcome to nominate women who have reached beyond themselves to contribute substantially to the quality of life in Ashland County through involvement with family, career, community and social issues.
In addition to the Ashland County Women of Achievement Awards, the committee is seeking nominations for an Ashland County “Young Woman to Watch.”
The young person should be between the age of 15-21, and be in line with many of the qualities of the Woman of Achievement Award.
A one-page description of the nominee, written by a non-family member may be submitted for consideration to the same address. A cash award will be given to the winning recipient at the annual annual ceremony Oct. 28 at the Wellness & Community Center at Brethren Care Village.
Kay Conrad is remembered each year through her efforts to recognize and lift Ashland County women. Conrad established the organization in 1991 and led it to official nonprofit status.
Ashland County Women of Achievement has founder-member status with the Ashland County Community Foundation. The organization is pleased to see Kay Conrad’s legacy live on through this organization.
