POLK — A group of concerned Polk residents took it upon themselves to restore the Jackson Twonship Community Park picnic tables.
Cynthia Cornett, Jessica Burget, Ada, Grace and Caleb Conley, all noticed the tables were in dire need of staining.
So, these Polk residents volunteered their time and talents to staining eight tables in total.
When asked why they wanted to do this they replied “we just love our community,” said Cheryl Welch, the Jackson Tonwship Fiscal Officer.
Welch received the Home Depot Community Impact Grant to get five gallons of stain and all supplies needed for the job.
