ASHLAND — Snow is in the forecast for Ashland County.
The National Weather Service in Cleveland predicts snow showers for Sunday morning. The snow will likely turn to rain in the afternoon with a high near 41.
Still, forecasters are calling for less than a half inch of snow accumulation as night falls on Sunday. The high for Sunday night is 29.
We’ll have to get through wind gusts before all that happens, though.
The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook for north central Ohio, with wind gusts reaching up to 35 miles per hour in some parts of the state.
In Ashland, wind gusts are predicted to reach up to 20 miles per hour on Friday, with a high of around 51.
Rain showers are expected to start Friday night, possibly mixing with some snow. But there won’t be enough snowfall for accumulation.
Saturday’s weather looks mostly cloudy, with a high of 39 and winds are expected to reach speeds around 17 miles per hour.
