ASHLAND — Ashland City Schools has announced that events for this weekend will take place after power was restored to the campus buildings on Thursday night.

According to a press release issued by the school district on Friday at noon, power was restored to the AHS campus including Ashland Middle School, Ashland High School, and the Keith Wygant Memorial Fieldhouse “thanks to a dedicated team of professionals from BCU electric and Ashland City schools.”

The outage disrupted service earlier this week.

The district stated that overnight, several complicating factors occurred at Ashland High School that necessitated the closing of school for just the high school on Friday Jan. 28.

At the time of this release, all weekend events are proceeding as scheduled. This includes the following:

OCC Middle School Wrestling Tournament 5 p.m. at Keith Wygant Memorial Fieldhouse.

JV/Varsity boys basketball vs. Wooster 6 p.m. at Ashland High School.

Saturday Jan. 29
