LOUDONVILLE — The Redbirds will begin their district title defense on their home floor.

Loudonville earned the No. 2 seed in the Division IV Norwayne district tournament draw and will host No. 12 Kidron Central Christian at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 in the sectional semifinals.

A win would send the Redbirds into the sectional championship game against No. 10 Richmond Heights at 1 p.m. Feb. 19 at Loudonville. The higher seed hosts in the sectional before games shift to neutral sites for the district.

The Redbirds won just the second district title in school history last year.

No. 8 Hillsdale will open tournament play at No. 5 Willoughby Andrews Osborne at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.

Division I

Ashland earned the No. 17 seed and will play No. 3 Holland Springfield in the sectional semifinals at 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Millbury Lake. The winner will play No. 9 Toledo Whitmer for a sectional title at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at Lake.

Division III

Crestview picked up the No. 2 seed at the Division III Shelby district and opted for an opening-round bye. The Cougars will play either No. 4 Wynford or No. 12 Edison for a sectional championship at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 at Buckeye Central. Wynford and Edison meet at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 at Buckeye Central.

Also in Division III, Mapleton earned the No. 10 seed in the North Ridgeville district and will host No. 14 Wellington at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.
