The following criminal charges were filed in January with Ashland County Court of Common Pleas.
• Nrujal K. Amin, 45, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and possessing criminal tools. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Dec. 20, 2021.
• Jacob L. Babbert, 32, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. Charges were filed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Nov. 30, 2021.
• Joshua R. Bell, 31, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Apr. 16, 2021.
• Manish Bhandari, 21, was charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and attempt to commit an offense. Charges were filed by Ohio State Highway Patrol on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Dec. 5, 2021.
• Larry W. Carter, 35, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, and aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on July 3, 2021.
• Tyler Demastus, 28, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on July 24, 2021.
• Matthew J. Dewitt, 25, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and tampering with evidence. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Mar. 22, 2021.
• Jeffrey R. Fry, 58, was charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Charges were filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Dec. 23, 2021.
• Evan A. Jarvis, 38, was charged with domestic violence. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 31 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Jan. 22, 2022.
• Jeremy Jordan, 43, was charged with disseminating matter harmful to juveniles and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with incidents that authorities say happened between Feb. 1, 2021 and Apr. 22, 2021.
• Rusty Kelly, 54, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on July 22, 2021.
• Brian Klingler, 43, was charged with two counts of assault, obstructing official business, and intimidation. Charges were filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Dec. 12, 2021.
• Jennifer J. Knackstedt, 40, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on July 14, 2021.
• Benjamin L. McQuate, 44, was charged with burglary. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Nov. 11, 2021.
• William Miller, 54, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 27 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Jan. 25, 2022.
• Stephen Rex Jr., 33, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and aggravated trafficking in drugs. Charges were filed by Ohio State Highway Patrol on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on June 5, 2021.
• Josephine Richmond, 40, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering children. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened between Dec. 3 and Dec. 9, 2021.
• Morgan Richter, 29, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Mar. 18, 2021.
• Rebeca S. Shreve, 53, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs. The charge was filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Aug. 2, 2021.
• Alexander T. Tackett, 32, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 13 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on July 22, 2021.
• Tavian Thomas, 21, was charged with abduction and menacing by stalking. Charges were filed by Ashland Police Department on Jan. 25 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Jan. 23, 2022.
• Mashell Young, 31, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, possessing drug abuse instruments, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed by Loudonville Police Department on Jan. 14 in connection with an incident that authorities say happened on Aug. 2, 2021.
