Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell were vacationing in Hawaii when the question was asked, “Where are your kids?”
The answer, authorities would later discover, was in shallow graves on Daybell’s property.
As more of the yarn was pulled, other mysterious deaths were linked to Vallow, all centered around a Mormon cult instructing followers to kill people that had turned “dark,” or become “zombies.”

Vallow’s husband, Charles Vallow, was shot and killed by her brother, Alex Cox, in their own house — but it was ruled self defense. Cox later died of a “blood clot.”
In the same city in Arizona, Brandon Boudreaux was shot at in his own driveway from a car registered to Charles Vallow.
Lori Vallow went on to marry Daybell after, surprise, surprise, Daybell’s wife mysteriously died in her sleep.
